Barry Sutton is a renowned English sculptor, who spent many years working at the British Museum, during this time he focused heavily on animal anatomy, becoming head of the museums model making department. He is also well known for his film and television work, including work with Muppets creator Jim Hesson and his Creature workshop, he worked on both Babe, and 101 Dalmatians, as well as Walking with Dinosaurs for the BBC.
He has focused heavily on animal anatomy and motion, which brings us to this truly stunning sculpture of a running Deerhound. Created in 2004 in solid bronze and both signed and numbered, it is a fabulous piece, amazingly detailed and beautifully formed, it captures the motion of the dog perfectly.
